Katie is committed to helping clients navigate difficult circumstances with empathy, practical guidance, and a clear path forward. With more than 22 years of legal experience, her practice focuses on family law, criminal law, juvenile law, child protection, and civil matters. She is passionate about empowering clients with the information and options they need to make informed decisions and achieve meaningful results.
Before joining Burnham Law, Katie served as a Magistrate for more than five years, presiding over juvenile, child protection, family law, criminal, small claims, traffic, eviction, protection order, and truancy matters. She also co-led the Best Practices Committee for Dependency and Neglect cases and presided over Juvenile Drug Court cases. Prior to serving as a judicial officer, Katie worked as a County Attorney, Deputy District Attorney, and in private practice. Her extensive experience allows her to approach each matter with a strong understanding of the legal system and a commitment to listening to clients with an empathetic ear.
Outside the office, Katie enjoys hiking, sailing, traveling, and spending time with her family and two doodles.
