Annie, a Kansas native, graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University in 2020. In August of 2023, she relocated to Colorado to begin an externship with Burnham Law during her third year of law school. Annie completed her final year online through Washburn University’s innovative Third Year Anywhere program, which allowed her to gain invaluable hands-on experience at Burnham for a full year before officially starting practice.

During law school, Annie honed her legal skills in both the Family Law Clinic and the Civil Clinic, where she successfully represented low-income clients in state district court on guardianship, conservatorship and expungement cases. She was also a published member of the Washburn Law Review and a member of the Black Law Students Association. Outside of her legal career, Annie enjoys exploring Colorado’s scenic hiking trails and thrifting home decor.
