Jessica is a partner at Burnham Law and is based out of our Colorado Springs office. She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, where she worked as a domestic violence victim advocate and won asylum for a 17-year old refugee from Azerbaijan. She was presented with an award for excellence in Trial Advocacy. In 2021 she authored “7 Defenses to Your Colorado Domestic Violence Case“.

Jessica worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Boulder County where she specialized in domestic violence and elder abuse cases heading up the Boulder County Domestic Violence Task Force and co-creating the Elder Abuse Task force. She has also worked as a prosecutor for the City of Westminster and as a criminal defense attorney. She is a highly skilled and experienced litigator who has handled thousands of criminal cases and more than one hundred trials.
