Jared West is an associate attorney at Burnham Law. He works in the Civil Litigation Division and is located in Boulder. Jared has successfully represented clients in eviction hearings, personal protection order hearings, HOA disputes, and cases involving intentional torts (such as fraud), negligence, and breaches of contract. He has successfully defended several cases, having prevailed on motions to dismiss, and has helped many clients achieve favorable pre-litigation and litigation settlements. Jared also assists clients with real estate transactions, representing both buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of property, as well as helping landlords, property managers, and tenants with their landlord-tenant needs, such as reviewing commercial and residential leases.  Recently, Jared was recognized by Colorado Springs the Magazine in 2022 as one of the Top Attorneys in Landlord Tenant law. Jared also represents many clients in the cannabis industry and serves as the Secretary and Treasurer for the Cannabis Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association.   

Jared received his undergraduate from the University of New Mexico, double majoring in Psychology and Philosophy.  He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law, where he won numerous awards such as the CALI: Excellence for the Future Award and Best Brief in Moot Court; served on five executive boards including the Student Bar Association; earned Certificates of Concentrated Studies in Litigation and Intellectual Property; and was a senior member of both the Nebraska Law Review and Moot Court Board.  

Jared lives in Boulder County with his wife, dog, and two cats.  He enjoys running and spending time with his family and friends.
