Stephanie is the Managing Partner at Burnham Law and manages the Firm’s Colorado Springs office. A gifted family law attorney, she recently earned the distinction of “Top Attorneys of North America” by the Who’s Who Directories. She has a reputation for being an extremely effective litigator and a strong advocate for her clients.
Stephanie attended Washburn University School of Law after obtaining a paralegal degree and working for four years as a family law and personal injury litigation paralegal. While still in school, she clerked for the Honorable Magistrate Hübler of the Denver District Court – Domestic Division and was a summer intern for the Children and Family Unit of Colorado Legal Services. She also served as an editor for the American Bar Association’s Family Law Quarterly, the most cited family law publication in the United States, and co-chaired the Children and Family Law Center.
Stephanie has a passion for child advocacy and frequently represents children as a Guardian ad Litem for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center in protection order cases involving domestic violence. She is a regular Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presenter on complex legal topics and is certified in Colorado as a Child and Family Investigator (CFI). Her CFI work on behalf of the courts coupled with her knowledge of child development and her extensive trial experience makes her uniquely qualified to help families prepare for the often emotionally rigorous process of a child investigation.
Stephanie serves on the board of the Meador’s Masters Foundation, raising funds to aid victims of natural disasters and serve others in need in the U.S. and abroad.
