Upon arrival at the scene, Longmont police discovered a blue Honda Fit, a yellow GMC box truck, a white Ford Fusion, and a white Ford Transit, all tangled together as a result of the collision. According to the police report, the Ford Fusion was heading north on Main Street when the driver of the southbound blue Honda veered into the multi-use lane and subsequently entered the oncoming lane. In an attempt to avoid a direct collision, the Fusion swerved, causing contact between the two vehicles.
The situation escalated when the Honda, still out of control, collided head-on with the Ford Transit van. The impact was further compounded when the van was rear-ended by the approaching box truck. Upon arrival, authorities apprehended the driver of the Honda on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
The injured woman was then transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The severity of her injuries remains undisclosed at this time.
