On January 4, 2023, a train struck a car at 63 rd Street in Boulder County. The Mountain View Fire Protection District has reported that the train struck a Toyota Corolla, causing the Corolla to spin and hit two other cars. Reportedly, the train track crossing arms were down at the time of the crash and the cause of the crash remains under investigation by Colorado State Patrol.
