The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred on the afternoon of April 19, 2023, in Kersey, Colorado. According to CSP, the collision happened at 3:05 p.m. when an International semi was turning left into a driveway on Weld County Road 61, south of Weld 380. A 1991 Ford Explorer driven by a 33-year-old man from Thornton attempted to pass on the left and collided with the left front corner of the semi, causing the car to go off the road, roll once, and eject its 29-year-old female passenger, who unfortunately died at the scene.
