Multiple-Vehicle Crash Causes Closure of Five Lanes on Eastbound Interstate 70

[DENVER, CO] – A multiple-vehicle crash has led to the closure of the five left lanes on eastbound Interstate 70 between Havana and Peoria streets. The Colorado Department of Transportation announced this lane closure at 3:06 p.m. on June 26, 2023, causing significant disruption to traffic flow in the area. Commuters were strongly advised to seek alternate routes.

According to a spokesperson from the Denver Police Department, the accident occurred in the middle lanes of the highway, prompting the necessary shutdown. One motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
