The Colorado Department of Transportation has reported multiple vehicle crashes that caused serious delays along northbound and southbound I-25 just south of Wigwam, Colorado.
The first crash occurred on December 20, 2022, at 6:08 p.m. between Exits 119 and 116. A second multi-vehicle crash occurred later the same day at 7:23 p.m., forcing authorities to close all northbound lanes of I-25 between Exit 116 and Exit 119. Colorado State Patrol continues to investigate the second accident.
I-25 serves as the main route through New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. Despite the I-25 corridor being mainly rural, it remains one of the busiest roadways in Colorado. Holiday travel is expected to increase leading up to the Christmas holiday.
Burnham Law hopes for everyone to reach their holiday destinations safely.
