[LONGMONT, CO] – On the afternoon of May 6, 2023, a collision between two cars on Colo. 66 near Pace Street resulted in five individuals being hospitalized.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:01 p.m., causing the eastbound lane of the highway to be temporarily blocked. Colorado State Trooper Gabriel Moltrer confirmed that by 5:31 p.m., five injured individuals had been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

By 5:46 p.m., the eastbound lane had been reopened, and the involved vehicles were relocated to the shoulder. However, as of 6:20 p.m., law enforcement officers remained at the scene, despite all lanes being accessible.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have refrained from releasing further details about the crash at this time.
