On the afternoon of January 31, 2023, a car crash temporarily shut down southbound I-25 at Circle Drive in Colorado Springs, Colorado. According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department, one person was trapped inside their vehicle until they were freed by first responders and immediately taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. I-25 was reopened just past 5:00 p.m., after being shut down for over an hour.
