A multi-vehicle collision temporarily shut down a stretch of I-76 on February 2, 2023. The closure of I-76 went from 74th Avenue to I-270 in Adams County, Colorado. The Colorado State Patrol reported that five vehicles were involved in the crash, including a semi-truck carrying hazardous materials. A hazmat team was dispatched to the scene to clean the materials. The crash remains under investigation.
