The Colorado State Patrol has reported that on January 7, 2023, a three-car crash sent five people to the hospital. Amongst those hurt was a teenage girl who suffered serious injuries. According to authorities, a Subaru Outback was headed west on Niwot Road when it failed to stop at a red light and struck a Ford Expedition that was headed north on Diagonal Highway. A third vehicle, a Ford F-150, that was also heading north on Diagonal Highway then struck the Subaru. The crash remains under investigation.
