Colorado State Patrol has confirmed that 14-year-old Alexis (“Lexi”) Lighthizer, 14, of Hayden has died from injuries sustained in a three-car crash. The crash occurred on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Law enforcement reported that a Ford F250 was driving west on U.S. Highway 40 when it crossed over into the eastbound lanes near mile marker 100. The Ford then collided with a GMC Sierra, which was subsequently hit by a Subaru Outback.
Sadly, this is the second death in February of 2023 on U.S. Highway 40. Burnham Law asks that everyone be sure to slow down, wear their seatbelt, and remain attentive when driving. Condolences to the family and friends of Lexi. Burnham Law hopes you can find peace in this time of grief.
