Colorado State Patrol has reported a fatal crash that occurred on I-25 south of Colorado Springs on the morning of January 11, 2023, immediately south of the South Academy exit at mile marker 134. A 2020 Freightliner was traveling northbound when the truck struck a guardrail and ended up overturning onto its side. Sadly, the 44-year-old passenger died at the scene and the 41-year- old driver suffered serious injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
