Driver Allegedly Under the Influence Kills Man in Pueblo Crash

[PUEBLO, COLORADO] – A serious incident occurred on June 13, 2023, when a driver, suspected to be under the influence, veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a man who was standing outside his vehicle. The victim sadly lost his life in the accident.

Authorities were alerted to the crash in the 200 block of Broadway Avenue at approximately 4:10 p.m. on June 13, 2023. Eyewitnesses at the scene informed the police that a maroon Jeep had struck the man. Pending proper notifications, the Pueblo County Coroner will release the identity of the deceased individual. The driver of the Jeep has been identified as Danny Espinoza, a 40-year-old resident.

Espinoza purportedly attempted to escape on foot after the collision, but concerned citizens intervened and prevented his disappearance until law enforcement arrived.
