Deadly Traffic Crash Under Investigation by Denver Police Department

[DENVER, COLORADO] – The Denver Police Department (DPD) has launched an investigation into a tragic traffic accident that occurred in the early morning of June 29, 2023. In an official tweet posted at 3:26 a.m., DPD revealed that they were looking into a single-vehicle crash on the southbound ramp connecting Interstate 25 to Interstate 225. Tragically, the crash claimed the life of a female passenger, as reported by DPD.

Shortly after the incident, at approximately 3:45 a.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced the closure of all lanes on northbound I-225, spanning the stretch between I-25 and Yosemite Street. The reason for this closure was directly linked to the aforementioned crash. Moreover, the onramps from both northbound and southbound I-25 to I-225 were also shut down. Authorities were able to reopen the ramps connecting northbound and southbound I-25 to I-225 at 8 a.m.
