The Wyoming Highway Patrol has reported that five people were killed on January 22, 2023, when a commercial truck collided with a Ford F-150 on Interstate 80 east of Rawlins, Wyoming. The operator of a Dodge Ram 3500 was driving east on the wrong side of Interstate 80 and collided with two other vehicles. This initial crash caused a commercial truck to swerve into the median and onto the other side of the highway, where it hit the Ford F-150 head-on. Sadly, all five passengers in the Ford were killed.
While the investigation continues, Wyoming Highway Patrol reported that the driver of the Dodge has been arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired.
Five fatalities in a single accident is truly a tragedy, and Burnham Law sends its heartfelt condolences to the many affected. Burnham Law hopes that this report serves as a deterrent to driving while under the influence.
