Wheat Ridge Police are reporting that a portion of I-70 was shut down on November 26, 2022,
due to a fatal car crash. Initial reports are that the crash was caused by a drunk driver traveling
the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of I-70. The police are reporting that the at-fault driver and
three passengers of the victim’s vehicle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries but are
expected to survive. Sadly, the driver of the victim’s vehicle has deceased.
