On December 23, 2022, westbound Interstate 70 was closed from Airpark Road to Airport Boulevard due to a multi-vehicle crash. Police have reported that the accident occurred on I-70 near Tower Road and involved both semi-trucks and cars. Aurora Police have yet to confirm the cause of the crash.
